“The acupuncture and healing has helped me to cope with a chronic painful back condition without the dreadful side effects of medication. Abbie is a sensitive and experienced practitioner. I always feel better after a treatment session.”

“I’ve had hayfever for as long as I can remember. For over 40 years I’ve suffered. I dreaded the summer. Hayfever tablets didn’t work, even after doubling and trebling the recommended dose. My eyes itched and swelled, my nose ran constantly. For the last ten years, I’ve also struggled with eczema. My skin itched and blistered then cracked. It was particularly bad at night, stopping me from sleeping properly.

I had to try something else. Acupuncture absolutely changed my life. Abbie has a calm and reassuring manner. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to talk and listen and get to the bottom of the issue before suggesting an effective treatment.

If anyone had told me how effective the treatment would be, I wouldn’t have believed them. My eczema has gone. I no longer dread the summer. I can’t recommend Abbie more highly or thank her enough.”

“I have pain in my thumb joints and hips. After only two treatments to my hands I noticed some relief and after four I was almost pain free. I have now had seven and the difference is amazing – not pain free but if it gets no worse I will be happy. I have had two treatments for my hips and am sleeping without pain for the first time in about fifteen years. It is a pleasure not to have to take pain killers with all their side effects. Give it a try!”

“I’ve had problems with my energy levels since 1999 and in July 2004, after a relapse, began having acupuncture to treat the severe complaints that came with the fatigue. Now, in April 2005, the frequency and severity of the physical complaints have lessened dramatically, my energy levels allow me to be more active for longer, and I haven’t needed antibiotics since starting treatment. I would recommend acupuncture to anyone suffering fatigue, not as a total cure, but as a means of making everyday life more manageable and improving the quality of your life.”

HR, Prestwich

“Abbie’s ‘fine-tuning’ acupuncture practice together with the powerful Unitive Healing, have made an important difference in both my physical and emotional well-being, and helped me immensely through a difficult period in my life. I am extremely comfortable with Abbie’s professional, careful and gentle approach, and I feel I can really trust in Abbie’s discernment and skills.”

“Having tried various physio with various physiotherapists and still being in constant pain I decided to try acupuncture and found Abbie Richardson on the internet. After my initial assessment she identified what my problem was and explained her treatment. After my first treatment I had a significant relief of pain, and each weekly session afterwards resulted in more pain free movement and more mobility. I have come on in leaps and bounds thanks to Abbie and I can’t thank her enough I just wished I had found her sooner and saved myself a lot of pain and expense.”

BH, Prestwich

“The acupuncture and healing I receive with Abbie restores harmony and strength to my body and a sense of equilibrium and inner resource to my spirit. Overall the treatment is very pleasant and has a relaxing, calming influence that leaves me much more able to respond to life effectively.”

MW, Cheetham Hill

“I initially approached Abbie for help managing the pain associated with arthritis in my hip. I was experiencing an increasingly limited range of movement and considerable (‘referred’) pain in my knee. The acupuncture she provided (both before and after a hip replacement operation) made a massive difference to the pain, reducing it and enabling me to manage it without resorting to the ‘heavy duty’ pain killers the doctors had prescribed. Without her treatment, the whole experience would have been far worse.

Abbie brings knowledge, skill and experience to her practice. She has a sensitive, honest and person centred approach which means you feel she is treating you as an individual. Her treatment enabled me to maintain some quality of life through a difficult time and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone considering acupuncture as an option, especially for arthritis of the hip!”
