Abbie Richardson LicAcMBAcC

Abbie Richardson has practiced acupuncture since 1992 after graduating from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
Between 1992 and 1994 she undertook post-graduate training in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She maintains her expertise with continuous professional development. For example, she has trained with The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.

Abbie has a great deal of experience in successfully treating a wide range of health problems, for example fertility and gynaecological conditions, digestive complaints, migraines and headaches, ME and general fatigue, back and joint problems, stress and anxiety, sleep problems.

Between 1997 and 2004, Abbie co-ordinated a successful programme of holistic treatment for a registered charity supporting people suffering from mental and emotional distress.
She has lectured on 5 Element acupuncture as a part of a module for third year medical students at Liverpool University and has been a part-time clinical supervisor at the Chinese Medicine Degree course at Salford University.

Abbie is a warm, attentive and caring person. I have found the treatment sessions very beneficial for both emotional and physical health problems. The holistic approach has led to enduring healing of me as a whole person, leading to increased confidence and hope in myself and my life.

Abbie is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the representative and governing body of professionally qualified acupuncturists. (link) All members have completed at least three years' training in traditional acupuncture and western medical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture. Members of the BAcC maintain a high standard of education, ethics, discipline and practice to ensure the health and safety of the public at all times.

The acupuncture and healing has helped me to cope with a chronic painful back condition without the dreadful side effects of medication. Abbie is a sensitive and experienced practitioner. I always feel better after a treatment session.

Abbie has been practicing Unitive Healing since 1994, having trained with New Light, Manchester. This particular form of healing has proved very popular amongst clients due to its effectiveness in enhancing both emotional and physical health/well-being and because of its extremely relaxing effect.

The Chorlton and Prestwich clinics both carry certificates of approval from the local Environmental Health Departments.
