| Acupuncture promotes natural healing by the insertion
of fine needles into specific acupuncture points located along energy
pathways, called meridians. These points access the body's natural
energy flow known as Qi. Only disposable needles are used for the
purpose of treatment.
I've had ME since 1999 and in July 2004, after
a relapse, began having acupuncture to treat severe migraines, chronic
fatigue, sinus and bladder problems. Now, in April 2005, the frequency
and severity of the migraines has lessened dramatically, my energy
levels allow me to be more active for longer, and I haven't needed
antibiotics for sinusitis since starting treatment. I would recommend
acupuncture to any ME sufferer, not as a total cure, but as a means
of making everyday life more manageable and improving the quality
of your life.
HR, PrestwichThere may sometimes be a mild and momentary
sensation when a needle is inserted. It is not however a painful
process and indeed many people find the treatment itself very relaxing.
The initial treatment begins with a consultation and generally takes
between an hour and an hour-and-a-half. Subsequent treatments take
about 45 minutes.
The acupuncture and healing I receive with
Abbie restores harmony and strength to my body and a sense of equilibrium
and inner resource to my spirit. Overall the treatment is very pleasant
and has a relaxing, calming influence that leaves me much more able
to respond to life effectively.
MW Cheetham HillSome people may feel significant improvements
after the first treatment, however, the severity of the complaint,
how long it has been present and a person's general health are all
factors in how many treatments will be needed to restore health.
